Friday, Aug 14th we arrived in Salt Lake to a wonderful storm.

We went to Nick and Teri's home to enjoy Nick's Birthday
Teri got him an inflatable pad so he would never have to sleep on the hard ground again.

The next day was Teri's birthday, she loved the lounge chair Nick got her so she could "escape from the world" or something like that.

Teri also enjoyed her book of Dreams and their meanings.

After a yummy dinner we hustled up to watch the beautiful sunset.

Sunday, we headed up to "The Bird" to ride the Tram and go on a little hike

Fallin Leaf, S, Lake Tahoe

Fallen Leaf Lake, CA, south of Lake Tahoe. Our cousins, Ralph and Carol Knapp and Family called and told us they were going to be camping there for a few days, so we packed up Saturday afternoon and joined them until Monday. We had a great time seeing the cousins we hadn't seen in a long time. It was great to be with family!!

Lightning Tree at Lake Davis

Nice time at Lake Davis. We saw a baby deer, mommy deer and a few bucks. Got our pic of a chickamonk. Never got to see a bear. I rode my mt. bike around the lakes edge and took sunrise photos. We took a few walks. Went into Portola to get a ice cream but they rolled up the sidewalks at 7.

camping at Frenchman's Lake, CA

John, Susan, Sheila, and Mark decided to get away for a weekend so we headed for Frenchman's Lake near Chilcoot, CA. We saw some wildlife and got some photos of a snake and a chickamonka, camera broke and was unable to get photo of the buck. had a few burnt marshmellos. Took dutch ovens and made pizza, cowboy breakfast, and chicken and potatoes. John, Susan, and I took a little hike along the creek while Sheila took a nap in the car.
